Arrive and allow to lose track of time: At the heart of the picturesque Swiss village of Soglio, Monika Müller and Christian Speck revive the historic hotel and restaurant Palazzo Salis. A visit feels like a journey through time: The hotel – once residence of a noble family – has 14 individually furnished rooms with the charm of bygone days. At the back of the house, the marvellous garden is a place of rest and relaxation, whereas the terrace offers a fantastic view of the mountains. With authentic culture and special diligence in the kitchen, the hosts create carefree and cosy moments in the mountains.
The owners were looking for a pragmatic yet elegant visual identity, which makes the the several centuries spanning history of this unique place ready for the digital age. Dominant architecture and the richly decorated interior demand for a restrained design. Elegant but not luxury. Modern but natural. The result is a classic logo lettering paired with a fresh body type. Accompanied by authentic colours and bold images to let you dive into the distinct atmosphere of this place.
Sharp geometric details refer to the surrounding mountains. Warm and dark tones meet the bright light of the sun terrace Soglio and are combined to a contrasty colour palette.
A lot of white space paired with light brown tints sets the tonality for printed materials. Several media, such as letters and gift vouchers are enriched with a finely printed altitude profile of the area.
The team of Palazzo Salis puts great emphasis on authentic service and high quality down to the last detail. A functional and at the same time classy linen binding presents the fresh and locally inspired dishes both in German and Italian.
